The strangeness and beauty of returning to the pool

Getting back in the water can be scary and intimidating for your children - or for learner adults. I love this quote from Gold Olympic Medallist and lifelong swimming teacher Duncan Goodhew "don't worry so much about how stylishly you swim." he suggests. "Take the opportunity of being able to return to the pool again and embrace the feeling of being in another world, of the strangeness and beauty of it. In the water, just enjoy yourself." He talks about seeing rainbows in every tile at the bottom of the pool. What do you notice when you are in the water? This is a picture from my friend Nancy, who swims in the sea in Northern Spain.
