COVID Reopening Information
LESSONS FOR SEPTEMBER!
We are excited to announce that we do intend to resume group swimming lessons in September.
We will initially book a 6 week half term running 7th September - 17th October
As you would expect there are changes to the numbers in classes, many class times, and one way flows in place throughout the building. These class changes go alongside the changes we have also made to cleaning and hygiene procedures for the building and staffing.
Our priority is to contact all those who have pre-paid for lessons and discuss options with you. This will happen over the coming week. We will then contact our longer list of previous participants in lessons.
If your circumstances have changed, or you choose not to return to lessons in the revised format available then we will refund your money. You can use any credit that you have with us to cover the cost of the first half term.
Thanks very much for your patience.
On a separate post I will attach provisional working documents for how Parent and Child Classes, and School Age Group Lessons will run. These are working documents and are likely to be updated as we cross check against all risk assessments and changing National guidelines, and as we talk to you our clients.
Our pool has now reopened!
24th March 2020 all swimming pools were closed down by law, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
10th July 2020 the government announced that indoor pools can re-open from 25th July 2020.
Guidelines have been published by the government for safe reopening:
Swim England is our main governing body and their guidelines for reopening can be found here:
There are also guideline documents from PWTAG and STA that have informed our learning and risk assessments.
The COVID officer for the site is Lucy Ryan.
The pool successfully reopened on the 25th July as planned. Since then we have welcomed back private hire, private lesson, and 2 Aqua Fit sessions a week.
We aim to restart group lessons from 7th September, although we still have risk assessments and scheduling to complete before bookings can be confirmed.
