Please watch the videos below to find out what to expect on a visit to Grange Farm

What to Expect:

  • This is a private pool – all sessions must be pre-booked and paid for; we do not take any walk-ins and the facility may not be staffed when you come (please click here to book a session).

  • You will need a code to enter the building. This can be found on your booking confirmation email. The entry code will be changed at the discretion of the owner. Please ensure your contact details are correct so you can be notified of any changes.

  • Please remove outdoor shoes and socks as soon as you enter the building.

  • There are separate changing rooms for the Sunrise Pool and the Sunset Pool, please follow signs accordingly. There are short videos on our website and Instagram to show the one-way system for each pool (also see diagrams below). Once changed, take your belongings onto poolside with you and place on shelves provided. After your swim, please use the ‘way out’ changing rooms. This gives more privacy to your group when changing and allows full use of your pool time.

  • We do not operate single sex changing rooms. Due to a recent update to ‘Wavepower’ the Swim England safeguarding document, there should be NO use of mobile phones within the changing rooms. We respectfully ask for your co-operation with this. There are a few private cubicles available. Please click here to watch Swim England's campaign video for more information

  • Please help us to keep the pool clean by showering before using the pools or hot tub.

  • Float aids and toys found at the pools can be used at your own risk. Please be respectful of these items and leave tidy after use. If anything is broken or unsafe, please remove it and report to management so it can be replaced.

  • If the pool is covered on arrival, please uncover it carefully using the handles on the reel. The hot tub can be uncovered and used if you have booked the Sunrise Pool. Please cover the hot tub after every use to keep the water warm. There are further instructions for the hot tub on the wall to assist you.

  • For the Sunrise Pool, the light switches are located at both ends of the pool. For the Sunset Pool, the LED spotlights can be turned on by a switch on the wall near the steps (underwater lighting is only accessible by management).

  • Pool depth is between 1m-1.2m in the Sunrise Pool and 1.4m constant in the Sunset Pool. Please ensure swimmers stay within their depths or appropriately fitting float aids are used. Signage is present to ensure pool users are aware of the depth.

  • Please ensure you leave the pool area and changing rooms clean and tidy ready for the next users.

  • All accidents and incidents should be reported to the manager immediately (email grangefarmswimschool@gmail.com or call 07795 226661). All accidents and incidents must be logged in our book.

  • In the event of a power cut, it is still safe to swim and change due to our emergency lighting, however, the hot tub jets will not work. Emergency lighting will work for around 3 hours during a power cut. If you experience a power cut, please call 07795 226661.

  • Please email any feedback or complaints directly to us or call the number above if it is urgent. We will help as soon as possible, but there may not be anyone available immediately.

  • You should begin to leave the pool 5 minutes prior to the end of your swim time to ensure that you have time to safely collect all children and bags, and leave the pool hall before the end of your booking time.

Rules of Using the Pool:

  • The swimming pool is NOT LIFEGUARDED and is used entirely at the risk of each individual visitor. This is also the case for the parking area and access to the building.

  • Lone swimming is not allowed for safety reasons, so a minimum of 2 adults must attend. Please carry a mobile phone so that you can get help in an emergency.

  • Children and non-swimmers must always be supervised. Babies/toddlers must not be left unsupervised near the pool. Please do not bring pushchairs/prams into the pool building, so that we reduce the risk of contaminants and emergency exits being blocked.

  • Do not enter any plant room or storage room. There are dangerous chemicals stored and used that only authorised people have access to.

  • Payment must be done online in advance of your booking. This can be done via our booking pages or for ongoing regular hire, you can transfer to: Grange Farm Swim School, sort code: 40-26-11, account number: 01779338. Please use your booking reference/your name as the payment reference.

  • Guidelines for entry are recommended as a ratio of 2 children to 1 responsible adult. Under 4s admission is 2 children to 1 adult (if the children are fully supported in the water by a buoyancy aid).

  • Swim nappies must be worn by all children who wear nappies throughout the day. Standard nappies are not suitable. Please dispose in the bins provided.

  • Food must not be brought onto or consumed on the poolside. Plastic bottles may be brought onto poolside to avoid dehydration. No glass or cans should be brought onto site (if you are diabetic or require an alternative procedure, please discuss with management). Alcohol should not be consumed on site or prior to swimming.

  • There is no smoking allowed at the facility, including e-cigarettes/vapes.

  • Current or recent illnesses including respiratory problems, infections, digestive upsets and rashes are indications against participation. Any person with a recent history of diarrhoea (i.e. within the last 14 days) should not swim.

  • The last user of the pool each day should cover the pool with the pool cover and all lights must be turned off upon exiting, including the underwater lighting. Please inform us via 07795 226661 if you can't attend to ensure that it is still covered.

  • Use of the hot tub requires you to be able to safely climb in and out, using the steps provided. Babies and young children should not be taken in the hot tub and older children should be restricted in use to ensure they don’t overheat. You should not use the hot tub if pregnant.
