Swimming Sessions for Adults Receiving Care and Support.png

Finding suitable activities for adults receiving care and support isn't always easy. Many families and care providers are looking for something that's enjoyable, beneficial and inclusive, but busy public leisure centres aren't always the right environment.

At Grange Farm Swim School, we've created a calm, welcoming space where adults can enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of being in the water. Whether the goal is gentle exercise, building confidence, improving mobility or simply having something to look forward to each week, our private swimming sessions are designed around the individual.

We regularly welcome clients from Wisbech, March, Downham Market, King's Lynn and the surrounding villages.

Flexible Sessions for Families and Care Providers

We understand that every care setting is different, so we offer two ways to enjoy our facilities.

Supported Swimming Sessions

£39 including VAT for one client or

£45 including VAT for 2 or more clients.

Carers are not charged for.

Some care providers require a qualified member of staff to be present by the pool.

These sessions are arranged through our administration team so we can ensure a qualified lifeguard or swim rescue trained member of staff is available poolside.

Many organisations choose to book these as regular weekly sessions.

Private Pool Hire

£24.60 including VAT for 1 hour in the Sunset Pool.

Carers are not charged for.

For those that do not require a lifeguard or swim rescued member of staff to be present our private pool can also be hired exclusively. This can be booked online, making it a flexible option for families and care organisations.

We are also happy to work directly with care providers to arrange payment methods that make administration easier, including block bookings and invoicing where appropriate.

More Than Just Swimming

Swimming is one of the few activities that exercises the whole body while remaining gentle on joints and muscles. The support of the water allows many people to move more freely than they can on land, helping to build strength, improve mobility and encourage confidence. But the benefits don't stop there.

For many adults receiving social care support, time in the pool offers an opportunity to relax, reduce anxiety and enjoy an activity that feels fun rather than like therapy. Every session is an opportunity to build confidence, celebrate small achievements and spend quality time with carers, family members or support workers in a calm environment.

Our aim isn't simply to teach someone to swim. It's to help people enjoy being active, improve their wellbeing and experience the freedom that being in the water can provide.

A Private Pool Designed Around Individual Needs

Every person we welcome has different abilities, goals and support requirements, which is why our sessions are never one-size-fits-all.

Unlike busy public swimming pools, Grange Farm offers exclusive use of a quiet, private pool where clients can enjoy the water without distractions or large crowds. Some people enjoy gentle movement and floating, while others work on improving confidence or developing swimming skills.

We welcome adults with a wide range of support needs, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, reduced mobility and long-term health conditions. Sessions are always delivered at a pace that feels comfortable for the individual.
